…More than a workplace

At Tallaght Hospital we are committed to providing more than just a job - and more than just a workplace! We regularly ask our staff what they like (and don't like) about their working environment, communicating openly with them and receiving honest feedback which we act upon. Our recent staff surveys showed, above all, that our colleagues are very proud of their work. They're also very clear about the hospital's aims and objectives, and about how supportive everyone is in trying to achieve them. The three principal hospitals that joined to form this hospital have a long and distinguished history and tradition behind them. Indeed, the grouping of the Adelaide, Meath and National Children's Hospitals (AMNCH) is a matter of great historical significance in Dublin, and Ireland's, medical history.

This history has been brought completely up to date with the opening, in 1998, of the ultra-modern hospital at Tallaght, on the south-western outskirts of Dublin, just beside the M50 motorway which circles from the south to the north of the city. As you'd expect, a modern hospital means modern equipment and facilities, and our status as a major academic teaching centre demands that we maintain and enhance the quality of our equipment and services constantly to keep up with improvements in medical practice.
